Our Volunteers
One of the major basis of “Ndoba” are volunteers. “Ndoba” supports development of volunteering institute in Georgia. The total number of volunteers consists of 30 energetic and enthusiast persons who are involved in the activities of different structures of “Ndoba” (Hot-line, personality development club, crisis center).
Interested volunteers are passing special trainings to become a consultant/volunteer at “Ndoba’s” Hot-line and receiving practice of consultant/psychologist during 1 year period. Also “Ndoba” supports their professional development and offers trainings on different topics.
Volunteers are actively involved in “Ndoba’s” Personality Development Club activities. Sometimes with psychologist or independently volunteer facilitates group work in club. Club volunteers have the opportunity to attend training at “Ndoba’s” trainings and consultations center and build their capacity and skills in the different spheres.
Involvement of international volunteers is a novelty for “Ndoba”. It is almost two years that “Ndoba” is a member of EU program YOUTH. This is a European Voluntary Service (EVS) that gives possibility to youth to go in different countries and take part in different projects voluntarily, get familiar with different cultures and gain new experience and skills.
In the frame of EVS project 2 volunteers were sent to Lithuania and at the same time 2 volunteers (one form Lithuania and one from France) were hosted by “Ndoba” in 2006. It is planned to send also 2 volunteers in Lithuania and in Estonia and host 2 volunteers aw well from Lithuania and from France again.
“Ndoba’s” main partner in Youth Programs is “Youth Exchange agency of Lithuania”. Also “Ndoba” actively cooperates with different youth organizations at international level and takes part in special trainings, seminars or short study visits arranged in the frame of EU programs.
